Podcast Done!

Podcast is done and submitted.  Hopefully it fulfills the requirement.  I intended the podcast to be something that I would play in class and then have the students reflect on.  I figured this would be a good way to introduce students to what podcasts are and also exercise their critical thinking skills.  Heading to a picnic now.  Happy 4th everyone!  Be safe.

Podcasting...

Well my podcast is halfway done.  I have the script done  and have gone through it a few times and even recorded a couple trials.  I just need to get through the "uhs" and "erms" so I don't have as much editing to do.  Enough work for today though.

On another note, I am having difficulty keeping up on the plethora of media to stay in tune with.  I don't know how today's generation does it.  Between blogging, RSS, Twitter, etc, I don't know how they have time to keep up on everything else.  Does anyone like to go radio silent anymore?

Webquest feedback and podcast thoughts

Well, I received feedback on my webquest, and I am somewhat happy with the grade.  However, I would like to go back in and tweak it a little and see if I can make it better.  I need to add a better hook for the students.  Let the brainstorming commence!

On another note, I am drawing a blank when it comes to this podcast.  I guess I am stuck on the whole "lecture" mindset.  Maybe I could take a current event in my field (science) and discuss the impact that it has on us today.

Back to the old grind

Well after a long weekend I am back in front of the computer.  I have completed my mobile app design.  Since I am not a programmer or an artist, I used Lucidchart to create a nice diagram of the flow of my app.  Hopefully it meets the requirements as I included a description of each of the pages of the app as well as their function.  Here is a link to Lucidchart if you find yourself intrigued.

Well, now for a little lunch and on to check on the wiki, send a tweet or two maybe, get in on some discussions, and maybe start the podcast.  Phew.

Keep On Keepin' On.

I went back into my webquest and added a teachers resource page.  This was of course after I learned of the coveted template.  So, I make mine to match.  Although, it is a good idea to include that information.  Hopefully it is done now, and I can move onto my wiki entries and mobile app.

After much research, I have come to the conclusion that Yapp seems to be the easiest to use for this.  I have started the mobile all design and am sort of building the plane as I am flying it.  I have never created a mobile app before and I could really see some great potential in this.  I an constantly thinking, "Why didn't I think of this sooner."  O well.

Webquest Done!

Webquest done!  Time to relax.  Here is a link to my weubquest still hot off the presses.  I would love some feedback in the comments section!

Back to Work.

It has been a couple days since my last entry, however it is for good reason.  One of my good friends Branden got married this past Saturday and I had the honor of being in his wedding.  Now that I am back I wanted to touch base about my webquest and my mobile app.  The webquest is nearly complete with just some minor tweaking that needs to be done.  The mobile app has been started, but I have more I would like to do on it.  Hopefully, I can have the webquest and the app done by the end of this week since I will be in another wedding next Saturday.  That one is in Indiana.  Good grief.
